Description: The Pat Spratt armchair was commissioned by the American Hardwood Export Council as part of their collaboration with Splinter Workshop and was launched at Sydney Indesign 2013. The ergonomically designed and handshaped solid timber seat floats between the dynamic form of the legs. The armchair is named after a best mate who is no longer with us. He was a one of a kind just like this armchair.

 

The Pat Spratt armchair has been described by the Australian Furniture Association as a modern iconic Australian design.

 

Materials: Sustainable solid American Walnut & American White Oak.

 

Finish: Osmo natural oil and carnauba wax. Osmo is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. It is low VOC and does not contain benzene, biocides or perservatives.

Comments: The Pat Spratt has been featured in the Australian Furniture Association TV ad, selected to be exhibited in the Modern Icons Gallery at the Australian International Furniture Exhibition 2014 and shortlisted for Workshopped 14. Workshopped is the single largest event on the Australian Product Design calendar.
